iciHaiti - Port-au-Prince : Unveiling of the 1st street name pole
As part of the Municipal Cooperation Program (PCM) Haiti-Canada, in the presence of among others the Ambassador of Canada, Caldwell St-Onge and Richard Lafrance, Representative of the City of Montreal, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Youri Chevry unveiled during a ceremony, the first street name polebetween the streets Piquant and Capois of the identification campaign of streets of the capital.

Richard Lafrance welcomed the realization of this project according to him "Canada continues to work with the city of Port-au-Prince to provide a different look to the capital [...] we understood that the Mayor Chevry wanted to offer something tangible to the population and that is what he has achieved with this project in which we, to the Montreal town hall we are associated [...]"

Canadian-funded to the tune of $300,000 the project is expected to last 3 months, aims to identify 538 intersections across Port-au-Prince.
