iciHaiti - Politics : Demonstration and Violence in Petit-Goâve
On Tuesday, the deputy Germain Alexandre-fils of the commune of Petit-Goâve condemned the violence which marked the pro-government demonstration organized by the members of the PHTK and allies, to commemorate the death of Dessalines but also to support the Moïse/Lafontant administration.

An incident occurred on National Road #2 when Louicito Benjamen, aka "Ti Louis", a relative of deputy Germain, said he was assaulted and beaten by a PHTK protester called "Ti Marassa".

Deputy Germain deplored this act of violence and asked the justice to assume his responsibilities and to put the public action in motion against the aggressor. In addition, he recalled that "everyone has the right to demonstrate according to the prescriptions of the Constitution. But that must be done in order and respect for the other. No one is allowed to strike anyone. The physical integrity of the other must be respected."

The deputy has taken care to emphasize that this attack of Louicito Benjamen is not going to affect the good relations that it maintains with the PHTK affirming "It is an isolated personal act that bind only Ti Marassa."

Moreover Cangé Jean Thermy, a car salesman, denounced the vandalism actions of militants he claims to be from the PHTK who broke the windshields of two of his vehicles. He claims justice and reparations.
