"All the deep sympathies that this note would like to express can not suffice to show the Ministry full appreciation of the commitment and passion that Rachel has always shown during her various initiatives in the Haitian cultural sector. Indeed, the deceased was very active in the academic and cultural life of the country for having, on the one hand, taught, for several years, at the State University of Haiti and on the other hand, contributed to enrich the literature on Haitian Voodoo or work to preserve the cultural traditions of Haiti. With the death of Rachel Beauvoir-Dominique, Haitian culture has lost an outstanding activist For her masterly course, her commitment to the cause of culture and attachment to Haitian values and traditions, Minister Toussaint bows to the disappearance of Rachel Beauvoir-Dominique and sends his most sincere condolences to members of her family, the sector cultural community, the university family and friends and family affected by this loss."
