iciHaiti - Port-de-Paix : Student Carnival a success in more or less clean streets

riday in Port-de-Paix took place the student carnival parade. Walking bands, floats, DJs and dancers provided entertainment through several arteries in the city. As usual, the participants answered the call and the large population has been seduced by the charm of dancers and meringues in vogue and makes the happiness of small merchants.

However, the route of the parade has been more or less healthy, except for some streets that are in preparation to accommodate carnivals for the 3 fat days. In some places, sewers remained open, constituting a real danger for carnival participants...

In addition, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) has done an extraordinary job at the security level. In concert with the Town hall, it has maintained the same instructions, namely: prohibition of the sale of alcohol in glass containers, prohibition of carrying firearms and knives or any other sharp objects.
