iciHaiti - Carnival 2018 : Rediscover in pictures the floats and costumes !
The National Carnival of Port-au-Prince was not only a moment of release and relaxation, but it was also part of a process of reflection and change around the theme "Ayiti sou wout chanjman". This great popular festival was held with messages on the development, the social refoundation of the Nation expressed through allegorical floats.

The reconstruction was expressed by the allegorical float of the Presidency, the work of architect Cassandre Mehu, which gave to see a new Palace under construction; the tank of the Primature, a creation of the designer Patrick Figaro, expressed the dimension of the caravan of the change; that of the Ministry of Agriculture reflected the importance of agricultural production through an excavator in the middle of a banana field. The float of the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad, designed and produced by the architect Barbara Faubert was dominated by a globe with several points marked by our two-color.

Jean Yves Jason's Ministry of Sports float paid tribute to our U-20 Grenadières qualified for the World Championship; that of the Ministry of Women's Affairs by architect Barbara Faubert was an overview of a slice of Native American history and represented the village of Anacaona in all its splendor while that of the Ministry of Tourism bore the beauty of our natural heritage.

Other tanks, such as those of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities carried messages on the importance of prevention and protection of the environment.

The designers Phélicia Dell and Maguy Durcé have brought their original touch to the creation of costumes for queens and kings.
