Rosemila Sainvil Petit-Frère, the Mayor of Archaie confirms having blocked a truck of materials intended for the construction of the presidential stand for the commemoration of the Flag Day on May 18th. She explains this decision because as the first citizen of the city, she was not warned of the arrival of the company came to realize the construction of this stand to celebrate the 215th anniversary of the creation of the Haitian flag.

"The city is dirty and vulnerable and the City Council has not received any material to deal with this situation and all the steps and request for subsidies for the celebration of the 215th anniversary of the flag, with the central government have remained without continuation," said the mayor adding that "in these conditions the commune can not celebrate the flag day.

She also denounced of unfulfilled promises made by President Moïse during the commemoration of the 214th anniversary of the creation of the flag, citing among others, the construction of 400 meters of road to Arcahaie.

However, the Mayor of Archaie claims to be open to dialogue, to allow the continuation of preparations for the Flag Day.
