iciHaiti - Gonâve : Joint Mission of the Minjusth in Anse-à-Galets
This week on the island of Gonâve, Minujusth conducted a 2-day joint mission with representatives of the national authorities from Port-au-Prince to Anse-à-Galets.

In order to promote the commitment of the central authorities in the challenges identified at the local level, representatives of the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH), a substitute for the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince and an inspector of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) participated in this mission.

Note that this is the first time that a representative of the CSPJ goes to the island of Gonâve.

During their mission they met with agents of the PNH, the Mayor and the Vice-Delegate of Anse-à-Galets, as well as the Justice of Peace and several organizations of the Civil Society.

The mission concluded with a sensitization session of Minujusth and the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH) to 17 participants (including 3 women) from local NGOs. This session highlighted the central role of Civil Society in promoting human rights, including in the transmission of complaints to national and international mechanisms for the defense of human rights.
