iciHaiti - Social : The 5th Haitian Brigade of Solidarity soon in Cuba
25 young Haitians of the 5th solidarity brigade "Antenor Fermin", will visit Cuba from March 17 to 27, confirms the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)

Young Haitians will participate in a program specially designed by ICAP, which will include visits to various centers and sites of interest in the provinces of Artisa, Habana, Villa Clara and Ciego de Ávila.

The Haitian Brigade will be hosted at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp in Caimito, where young people will do voluntary work and exchange with young Cuban parliamentarians, among other activities.

It is also planned, meetings with students and professors of the Higher Institute of International Relations "Raúl Roa García" and with descendants of Haitians of the Caribbean Association of Cuba.

The Brigade will also participate in the Afro-Caribbean folk festival Eva Gaspar, which takes place in Ciego de Ávila, which is dedicated to the Haitian emigrant, defender of the cultural traditions of his country in the central region of Cuba.

Finally, in Santa Clara, young Haitians will pay tribute to the heroic guerrillas at the "Che Guevara" memorial complex, visit the monument to the armored train, as well as places of economic and social interest of this city. By this gesture of solidarity, these young Haitians will pay tribute to the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution's triumph, ICAP stresses.
