iciHaiti - NOTICE : Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, Call for Proposals
The Embassy of Canada announces the opening of the call for proposals for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) in Haiti for the period 2019-2020, on the following themes:

- Peace and security, with a focus on conflict prevention and peacebuilding.

- Growth for all, including the promotion of women's economic rights, access to decent jobs and entrepreneurship, investment in the poorest and most vulnerable people, and the protection of economic progress.

The average CFLI contribution is $ 15,000 to $ 40,000

To obtain an application form or for any questions regarding the application process, please e-mail CanadaFundHaiti-FondsCanadienHaiti@international.gc.ca

Only proposals using the designated application form and including the required budget document will be considered.

Deadline for submission : Sunday, June 30, 2019 to 23:59 (UTC-4)

Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered. Proposals must be submitted electronically to the following email address : CanadaFundHaiti-FondsCanadienHaiti@international.gc.ca If a project is selected for funding, you will be contacted for the necessary follow-up.

Organizations eligible for CFLI funding :

  • Local non-governmental, non-profit and community organizations;
  • Local educational institutions working on local projects;
  • International, multilateral and regional intergovernmental institutions, organizations and agencies working on local development activities;
  • Governmental institutions or agencies at the municipal, regional or national level of the recipient's country that are working on local projects;
  • Canadian non-governmental and non-profit organizations working on local development activities.

Most of the funding provided under the CFLI is directed to local civil society organizations (including non-governmental organizations) and other institutions at the local level.

Other entities, such as international, intergovernmental, multilateral, and regional organizations, may also be eligible, provided they work with local partners on local projects that align with the objectives of the CFLI. Similarly, government institutions at the municipal, regional or national level may receive funding under the CFLI provided that their projects are primarily local.
