iciHaiti - Politic : Moïse Jean-Charles threatens importers if they do not lower their prices
On Wednesday Moïse Jean-Charles, the political leader of the radical opposition party "Piti Dessalin" issued an ultimatum to importers and traders to lower the prices of their products.

Remember that the Gourde has appreciated in recent weeks. This Friday, September 11, 91.52 Gourdes are needed for one US dollar while 121.25 Gourdes were needed on August 13 (Source BRH)

However, this appreciation of the national currency is not yet reflected in the costs of basic necessities, which stifles the domestic economy of families who receive remittances according to the former Senator of the North who gives two weeks to importers to exhaust their stocks and adjust prices downwards according to the economic situation.

If he does not get satisfaction, Moïse Jean Charles threatens importers with demonstrations outside their premises.
