iciHaiti - Heritage : Winners of the national essay and eloquence competition
Saturday April 17 at Quisqueya University, on the sidelines of the first edition of the Heritage, Tourism and Creativity Festival, the awards ceremony was given to the 3 winners of the first edition of the National Essay and Eloquence Competition on built heritage in Haiti launched in early March 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33135-haiti-notice-national-essay-and-eloquence-contest-registrations-open.html

Eunice CINCIR, general coordinator of the Haitian Women in Tourism Initiative (IFTH) believes that given the importance of heritage in the history of a people, this competition consists in making a plea for better management of monuments and sites in Haiti and intends to encourage young people to discover the riches of Haiti and develop in them a feeling of belonging to their country.

The first phase of the competition was devoted to writing a text on the subject and the second phase consisted of the oral presentation of the text during the grand final which allowed the jury made up of three professionals Alex DUQUELLA, Stéphanie SAINT-JEAN and Jean Junior THEODORE to designate the 3 big winners :

Winner List :

1st Prize : Gilberto Pinchinat JOACHIM: Faculty of Human Sciences (UEH)
Price : A laptop, a mobile phone, books, a household appliance, a certificate and will have a Guided Tour;

2nd Prize : Raude Lyncée Elizabeth Lasvithania CHARLES (Quisqueya University)
Price : A mobile phone, a free year of Canal +, books, a household appliance, a certificate and will have a guided tour;

3rd Prize Jeff Mackenley GARCON (Higher Institute of Studies and Research in Social Sciences - UEH)
Price : A mobile phone, books, a household appliance, a certificate and will have a Guided Tour.
