1.2 km of the Poudrière street, concreted in Trou du Nord
The Minustah has recently inaugurated 1.2 km of the Poudrière street, newly concreted, the main axis of a populated and deprived area of Trou du Nord. According to the Force Cumulative pour Servir Trou du Nord (FOCUST), the prime contractor of this project, the street Poudrière that serves more than 10,000, was before the works a muddy path difficult to access, often impassable because of the loods and stagnant domestic sewage. This project was funded under the Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) of the Minustah, for an amount approaching 30.000 U.S. dollars, and the work was done by a local firm.
