Seizure of more than one hundred trucks...

Wednesday Fresnel Jean Baptiste, Director General of the General Administration of Customs (AGD) announced the seizure of more than one hundred trucks involved in smuggling activities in recent months. Some of these trucks were registered in the Dominican Republic and in particular contained substances banned by the Haitian authorities.

The EU and the Haitian Government launched two new programs

This Thursday, the European Union (EU) and the Haitian Government launch two new programs to enhance food security and meet the challenges of climate change in Haiti ; will be igned the Conventions of Food Security Programme (10th European Development Fund - EDF ) and of Support Program for the onsideration of climate change (Global Alliance against Climate Change - AMCC).

Visit of the Minister of Tourism in the EHH

Early this morning, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism visited the Hotel School of Haiti (EHH) In the program: visit of some classrooms and kitchen, a way for the Minister to assess the new program which has just been applied to the curriculum of the institution. Discussions were also held between the Minister and some members of the school staff about its functioning on the administrative and academic plan.

Great Meeting on the coffee sector in Haiti...

Friday will be held a great meeting of mobilization and sensitization on the coffee sector in Haiti. The Minister of Agriculture will present on this occasion the vision of the Haitian State for the coffee sector, a strategic culture for environmental protection of areas semi-humid and humid of mountains of Haiti and for the economy of the country.
