Soon a cultural village in the North

Tuesday, Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture received the visit of Marlen Bakalli, Officer of the development branch of the Agricultural Affairs of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Giulio Vinaccia, Head of "Integral Studio Vinaccia." Discussions focused on the creation of a cultural village in Milot, in the North where all the cultural productions of Haiti would be exposed.

4th edition of Youth Rally

Friday, the Ministry of Education has officially launched the 4th edition of Youth Rally, which takes place on the Central Plateau from Sunday until 19 December 2013 under the theme "Deye Mòn gen moun ". Approximately 200 young schoolchildren will participate in the activity of civic education which invites them in building of their communities. This action consists to bring the students to explore the mountains of Haiti, but also to work within a perspective of citizen mobilization.

Changes in Justices of the Peace holders

The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) recently conducted to 5 mutations of Justices of the Peace holders especially in the jurisdictions of Carrefour, North Port-au-Prince, Petion-ville and Croix-des-Mission, these mutations that will continue, would aim to improve the effectiveness of public service. Commission on the minimum wage

Commemorative Event

Monday, December 16, several grassroots organizations around Fanmi Lavalas, announced a march through the streets of the capital to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the first presidential elections, which brought to power, former President Jean Bertrand Aristide [16 December 1990].

"Lèt agogo"

On 12 and 13 December was held the National Assembly of VETERIMED, which brought together about thirty directors of dairy, farmers' associations throughout the national territory and organizations working in this sector. VETERIMED officials want to project a different image of "Lèt Agogo", improve the traditional farming system, cow productivity, quality and quantity of dairy products, compliance with health standards and quality control.
