Project for a museum Toussaint Louverture

Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, had a meeting on the repatriation of the memory of Toussaint Louverture (history, costumes etc. ..), with the possibility of creating in Ennery, more specifically on the the housing of Toussaint, an interpretation museum of the life of this great man.

Uruguay decides to maintain its presence in Haiti

Monday, the Parliament of Uruguay decided to extend until 31 December 2014 their presence in Haiti of 953 Uruguayan soldiers composing the peacekeeping mission of the United Nations Peace (Minustah), contrary to statements of the President of Uruguay José Mujica, who said in October that it planned to withdraw its troops in Haiti, for reasons of "political stagnation of the Haitian society".

Closed day Embassy of Haiti in Washington

The Embassy of Haiti à Washington and its Consular Section will be closed Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in observance of Christmas Day. We will reconvene for business on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.
