On Thursday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will conduct the 6th ceremony of delivery of the keys of a new building for beneficiary families in Carrefour-Feuilles. This project was funded by the Office of Monetization Programs Development Assistance (BMPAD) as part of the construction of housing for displaced people of January 12, 2010. The ceremony will be held at 335, at Rue Monseigneur Guilloux, Carrefour-Feuilles area Sanatorium Hospital, in the presence of the Mayor of Port-au-Prince and officials of the Unit of Housing Construction and Public Buildings (UCLBP), of Ministry of Public Works and BMPAD.
The show-naval of the Commune of Delmas
Tuesday, Wilson Jeudi, the mayor of Delmas, announced that the City of Delmas will have its own carnival festivities. The music tanks, will have to pass over a course of about 3 kilometers. This show-naval will be funded by the private sector and will be held under the theme "Nan tèt kole Delmas ap pi bèl".
Launch of new EU project
Wednesday, as part of its support to initiatives of civil society and local communities, the delegation of the European Union (EU) in Haiti has launched new projects approved at its last call for proposals 2013. Jeroen Witkamp, the Chief of the economy and governance of the delegation section in his speech stressed the importance of these various projects as part of strengthening of local governance and decentralization, concentration sectors of the 11th European Development Fund (11th EDF) for the period 2014-2020.
Meeting with the Haitian Tourism Association
Tuesday was held a meeting with Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and members of the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH) around the classification of tourist facilities, the report of the fair FITUR, the Carnival of Gonaives and the proposal made by ATH, to represent priority areas and sectors of Tourism. The start of the project "Destination Côte de Fer" was also a point of interest discussed during this meeting.
Training on the Single Registry of Beneficiaries
The 4 and 5 February the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) hosts a training on the ingle Registry of Beneficiaries (RUB) with the Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation (DSE) for the team of "Task Force" of "Ede Pèp." The assistants project managers of "Ede Pèp" program, will participate in this training where the presentation of the methodology of the "Spot Check" will be provided by the DSE.
Government Council on Education
The Office of Communication of the Primature informs that the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, will chair, this Wednesday, February 5, 2014, from 5:00 pm to the Primature, his 26th Government Council to be held on the theme, Education in Haiti: status and perspectives. This is an opportunity for the Government to announce a number of measures to improve the quality of education at all levels.
