Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, left the country for a one-week official travel in North America. At Mexico, on the sidelines of the III Mexico-Caribbean Community Summit (Caricom) and of 6th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC), she will participate in the meeting of the Mexican Agency of International Cooperation for Development and Promexico, in order to promote foreign investment in the tourism sector in Haiti. In the U.S., specifically Florida, Minister Villedrouin will take part on April 29 at Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS). On the sidelines of the Summit, meetings with organizations operating in the tourism industry including Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean are also included in his agenda.

University Scholarships in Mexico / Launching of competition
Monday morning the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe began his day at "Lycée des Jeunes Filles" and launch the Competition of University Scholarships in Mexico "To move forward on the road of progress, we need a youth educated and trained. Start by opening the doors of equal opportunity, by offering the opportunity for those who are talented, but which not have the means to pay for study abroad."
The ERRF was relaunched
The ERRF was relaunched in the second half-year of 2013 through the mobilization of new funds. After the governance structures implementation in September 2013, 6 projects were approved for a global amount of US$ 1,097,719.37. However, 5 projects have already received funding for a total of US$ 945,244.37.
