International colloquium "From Dictatorship to Democracy ?"

From June 2 to 4 at the Hotel Karibe, is held an international colloquium on the theme "From Dictatorship to Democracy ? Transition, memory, justice". Academics, experts, representatives of civil society and students, from Haiti, Argentina, Brazil, France, Canada and Guadeloupe, will share their thoughts and experiences on the issue of the output of the dictatorship, of the memory of dictatorships and of judgment of dictators, through panel discussions, roundtables and film screenings.

Carnival of Flowers 2014

This year, the Carnival of Flowers of Port-au-Prince is scheduled for 27, 28 and 29 July 2014.

148 school construction projects

Education remains one of the priorities of the Haitian State. The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) is currently developing 148 school projects in 61 municipalities distributed in the 10 departments.

4.7 million seedlings planted in 2013

he Ministry of Environment (MED) of Haiti informs that 4.7 million seedlings were planted in 2013. Swiss Cooperation among others : Green border (Northeast) 300,000 seedlings; Carice (Mont-Organisé) 300,000 seedlings. MED cooperation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP): 1,500,000 seedlings in Aquin ; 800,000 in the Pine Forest; 400,000 to Dosmon; 100,000 to Seau d'Eau and 370,000 in Parc La Visite.

Budgetary line of MTIC

Monday morning, an internal meeting was held with officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) around the Budgetary line allocated to the Ministry and its distribution according to different development projects.
