Registration of candidates for the Senate and the deputation

Within the electoral process, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informs that from 4 July to 17 July 2014, candidates for the Senate and the deputation, will be able to confirm their registration. Preliminary results will be posted from July 5 to 18. Candidates will have 17 days to challenge (from 4 to 21 July). At the end of treatment of disputes on July 26, the final list of candidates will be published on 28 July 2014.

Next Meeting of Ministers of Culture in Haiti

On Wednesday, the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Government of Haiti, in the presence of President Michel Martelly, signed in Washington DC at a ceremony at the headquarters of the continental institution, a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of VI Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Culture in Haiti, on 12 and 13 August 2014.

Training in sign language

Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities and Plan Haiti, jointly organized a week of intensive training on the American Sign Language (ASL) for employees of this community development organization focused on child. After this training, there was a presentation ceremony of certificates in the presence of Gerald Oriol, Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities.

Social assistance to Mme Bernard

Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty proceeded to a distribution of 750 baskets of solidarity in Mme Bernard, île-a-Vache, together with a team of networks officers of National Social Assistance Program "Ede Pèp", assisted by Mayor Fritz César and Inspector Lauture.
