Father's Day in Haiti

Project of Development multi-destinations

On the occasion of the "Bolsa Turistica del Caribe" (BTC) in the Dominican Republic, Pascale Hilaire, head of the travel department met on the stand of Haiti, Albino Nelson, the President of the BTC, Denise Reyes, manager of the region of Mayaguez (Puerto Rico) and the President of Cotal, about a development project multi-destinations Puerto Rico / Santo Domingo / Cap-Haïtien.

Exhibition of Haitian Contemporary Art

The Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) finalizes an exhibition on contemporary Haitian art, which will be presented to the public during the summer. This exhibition showcases and promotes the Haitian art works, made from various techniques.

Interpretation Centre of Jacmel Carnival

Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, Departmental Director of Tourism South East, met Carola Paredes, Technical Assistant / Heritage-Culture of the Spanish Cooperation (AECID Southeast) to finalize the project of the Interpretation Centre of Carnival Jacmel (CICAJ). The architecture and engineering firm "Patrimonio 48 arquitectos" has prepared the plans and the tender for the project implementation, which will be launched during the month of July. This project is a joint initiative of the Mayor of Jacmel and the Ministries of Tourism and Culture with the support of AECID and UNESCO.

Fight against drug trafficking

On the occasion of the 25th International day against drug abuse and drug trafficking, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe commended the progress achieved thanks to the strategy of his Government. Indeed, a significant decrease of cocaine is found in the country. In 2013, more than one million U.S. dollars of illicit substance were seized.
