The Minister of Tourism in Peru

Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) participating in the Summit of the World Tourism and Travel Council for the Americas, which runs from September 10 to 11 in Lima (Peru). On Wednesday she presented the investment opportunities in the tourism sector in Haiti.

National Livestock Identification System

The Ministry of Agriculture, in consultation with various stakeholders of the program has recruited 33 trainees to take over the management of the National Livestock Identification System in all departments. With the help of specially designed software, they will record all the identification information (breeders and animals) and transactions of slaughter of cattle throughout the country. Trainees were also trained to manage the stocks of materials and strategic veterinary products, needed for the work of 1,200 veterinary officers that the ministry is in the process of accreditation to identify and vaccinate animals on behalf of the state.

4th Edition Poetry Festival of Jérémie

Following the participation in March, of 3 authors of the Grande Anse in the Literature Festival "Les Escales de Binic" on the Côtes d'Armor (Brittany, France), the French poets Mérédith Le Dez and Paul Dirmeikis will attend the 4th Edition of the poetry Festival of Jérémie to be held from September 11 to 14 for an evening of poetry reading and singing.

Coordination meeting on the construction of 9 schools

As part of Finnish cooperation. Roy Erickson, the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland for Latin America and the Caribbean, along with Uluc Baslanti of the "Finn Church Aid" and Cristian Santelices of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) participated in the Fund of economic and Social Assistance (FAES), to a meeting on the construction of several schools. The Finnish government co-finance with the IDB, the construction of 9 schools including two on the island of La Gonâve, one in Arcahaie, five in the Central Department and one in Le Phare (West).
