Senator Dieuseul Simon Desras, resident of the Senate convenes Senators for Monday, October 20 in order to break the deadlock. The Senate President considers that it is urgent that the Senators get together and "make a clear analysis, objective and in-depth of the conjuncture."
Pierre-Richard Casimir decorated by Taiwan
The Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti, Hwang Tsai-chiu, has awarded the Order of the bright star with Grand Cordon to former Chancellor Pierre-Richard Casimir, now adviser to the Presidency, in recognition of his contribution to the deepening of bilateral relations. The ceremony was attended by the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, several government officials and representatives of civil society. Established in 1941, the Order of the bright star has nine grades, the Grand Cordon being the second most prestigious.
Visit of the construction site of Marriott Hotel International
Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), visited the construction site of the Marriott Hotel International, whose inauguration is scheduled for February 2015. This visit was conducted by the Hotel Manager Peter Antinoph.

Distribution of school kits to school New Jerusalem
This week Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) has distributed 200 school kits to school New Jerusalem for the deaf in Mirebalais.
