Ebola: Message from the Ministry of Health

NOTICE: The Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) broadcasts a message to reassure the public of the nonexistence of Ebola cases in the country and raise awareness about preventive measures.

Spectacular accident

On Thursday, a spectacular accident occurred at the exit of the Route 9, N1, when a pickup that was trying to avoid a vehicle coming in the opposite direction hit a pole and burst into flames. Residents evacuated the occupants of the vehicle before the explosion. The accident made 5 wounded (4 men and a teenager), 3 of whom are in serious condition, they was rushed by ambulance to the nearest hospital centers.

Tourism: 25 scholarships

As part of tourism development in Haiti, Emanuel Charles, the acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Italy in Haiti, the Carlo Porta Institute and the Rava Foundation have signed an agreement for 25 scholarships for 20 students from the Hotel School of Haiti and 5 young of Petit-Goâve, elected under the "Gouvènman an lakay ou" program.

Notice of Revocation of bailiffs

The Ministry of Justice bring to the attention of the general public, of lawyers and litigants the jurisdiction of Port-au-Prince in particular, that Messrs Jude Yvon Sévère and Reynold Remy were removed from their function of bailiffs operating (huissiers exploitants) in the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince, for serious professional misconduct. Accordingly, Reynold Remy and Yvon Sévère should not and can not perform tasks reserved to bailiffs operating (huissiers exploitants).

24 Million for Education for All

This Friday morning an agreement for additional funding, amounting to 24 million US dollars, of Education for All (Programme Éducation pour Tous - EPT) program was signed between the World Bank and the Government of Haiti.
