Weekend of the youth

Saturday, within the weekend of youth, the Prime Minister, Evans Paul attended a working meeting with Jimmy Albert, Minister of Youth and Sports. He also took part in the launch weekend of youth. The Charge d'Affaires at the embassy of Haiti in London, Mr. Jean Robert Pillard. hosted the monthly Luncheon for the GRULAC (Groupo Latino Americano y Caribeno) Heads of missions at the Royal Horseguards hotel, with the Chairman of TUSKON, Mr. Rizanur Meral as the guest speaker. The Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkiye (TUSKON) is a non-governmental and non-profit umbrella organization representing 7 business federations, 202 business associations, over 50 000 members, and more than 120,000 companies and partner organizations in 140 different countries.

82 years of marriage !

A couple of Haitian origin living in Rockland, United States, Duranord (108 years) and Jeanne Veillard (105 years), married in Les Cayes Haiti, celebrated their 82 years of marriage, breaking the American record in longevity of a married couple.

National Day of Justice and Peace

This Sunday, National Day of Justice and Peace, the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace of Port-au-Prince (JILAP) denounced the lack of social justice and failure to comply with human rights in Haiti, and regretted that in 2015 Haiti is still a country where the rule of law remains a slogan in the mouths of politicians.
