Consolidation of bilateral relations
Thursday, as part of the consolidation of cooperation between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Prime Minister Evans Paul met with the Dominican ambassador in Haiti, Ruben Silié Valdez.
Tourist reception houses
Wednesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) met representatives of the International Association "Planète Urgence" around a construction project of tourist reception houses.
Wall of mangroves
The Association of Planters of Derac (ASPLAD) and the "Asosyasyon pour Devlopman Bòdmè Kannyèt" (ADK) build walls of mangroves in the bays of Fort Liberté and Acul du Nord, in order to protect the coasts and promote the strengthening of fishing with the United Nations Programme of Support for Development (UNDP). With these walls of mangroves, fish multiply rapidly in Haitian waters and fishermen from Haiti no longer have to venture into deep water where many have already died.
New Departmental office of BSEIPH
This Friday, at the Administrative Complex of Jérémie, Gérald Oriol Jr. the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) will proceed with the inauguration of the Departmental Office of BSEIPH in Grand Anse, built with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti. "This new Departmental Office will provide better support to people with disabilities of the Grand Anse department," indicated Gerald Oriol Jr.
