107 million in the FNE (0.5 cents per call)
The National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL),in sake of transparency, said that as part of the National Fund for Education (FNE) for the period from 15 June 2011 to 16 April 2015, a total of more than 107 million US ($ 107,386,088.79) from surplus tariff on incoming calls in the country [0.5 cents per call] was collected or remains to be collected from telephone companies.

Migration and border issues to the agenda
On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized an inter-sectoral meeting involving several ministries and public institutions including the Commission's Joint Technical Secretariat Haitiano-Dominican. The aim of the discussions was to harmonize the Haitian position at the meeting of the Subcommittee on bilateral migration and border issues to be held in Haiti on April 30. In particular, participants discussed about the National Regularization Plan of Foreigners (PNRE) and of extended residence permit of Haitian students in the Dominican Republic.

55 million for 4 projects
Tuesday at the Primature, Prime Minister Paul met with Phillipe Prosper Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, regarding the investments of the Financial Corporation in Haiti during past fiscal year and this year. IFC has already approved to date 4 investment projects with the private sector for an amount of 55 million US dollars and the portfolio could increase to 122 million.

Training on Web 2.0 and social media
Monday, attended by representatives of organizations and executives from diverse backgrounds, Pastor Elie Arius, President of the PROMODEV (Promotion for Development), has launched a week of Web 2.0 and Social Media Training, which take place from April 20 to 24 in favor and 30 young executives committed to sustainable development in Haiti. This training is possible through technical and financial support from the Technical Centre for Agricultural Cooperation and Rural of Countries ACP-EU (CTA) and is part of a series of 4 training sessions.
