IciHaiti - Humanitarian : Donation of 44,000 books of Maurice (Quebec)

The CAPI-Haiti project, thanks to the generosity of the people of the Mauricie (Quebec Region), collected since last fall, books and teaching materials in the libraries of Shawinigan, Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc and Saint -Boniface. Pierre Larose, Head of Project Coordination indicated "We had set ourself a horizon of just over one year. We thought it would go in the fall or next winter, but the goal of filling a container with 27 tons of books is already achieved."
This is the Reflection and Action Group for a New Haiti (GRAHN) that will cover the shipping costs of those few 44,000 books to Haiti. An operation that should be done during the month of June. Once there, books and teaching materials will be available for the Haitian people in a Documentation Centre, which will soon be operational in the north of Haiti.
