Monday, Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) was welcomed at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry, as part of the 58th meeting of the UNWTO Regional Commission for the Americas that opens Tuesday at the Hotel Karibe until 22 May 2015. "It is a pleasure to welcome this week the 58th Commission of the Americas [...] Haiti has introduced the theme of inter-regional Multi-destination and as a host country, we intend to put a particular emphasis on a correlation indispensable for any tourist development. I look forward to the arrival of these ministers and officials who participate and who share with us our beautiful sunshine and warmth of the hearts of Haitians," declared Minister Villedrouin.
