Tuesday, Me Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice, participated in the Mass of commemoration of the Saint-Yves, the patron saint of lawyers. On the courtyard of the Palace of Justice, the Minister and the Director General of MJSP, Me Jean Roudy Aly joined the many judges and lawyers who participated in the Mass celebrated by Mgr. Pierre André Dumas, marking the start of the week of Saint-Yves.
On the sidelines of the Mass, Carlos Hercules, President of the Federation of Bar Associations of Haiti (FBH), deplored the invasion of the premises of the Palace of Justice by what he called impostors, who want to pretend to be lawyers, bailiffs and others, what has serious consequences on the functioning of the judiciary. He urged the Minister to take all necessary steps to prevent clashes between the true lawyers and these impostors.
