Moreover regarding the cost of these elections and the words of Thomas Adams, the Special Adviser to the US State Department for Haiti which declared that the reduction to 2 elctions instead of 3 would save $ 30 million, Pierre-Louis Opont, the President of the CEP stated that the American adviser "does not control the budget," a diplomatic way of saying that Thomas Adams does not know what he's talkig... Recall that currently only 37.9 million dollars have already been confirmed for the upcoming elections : 13.8 million US dollars funded by Haiti (36.4%), 6.8 million of the European Union, 6.5 million from the European Union, 6.5 from United States, 5.3 million from Canada, 4.5 millions from Japan and 1 of Brazil S/ iciHaiti
