An Amnesty International delegation is visiting the Dominican Republic, where it will remain until June 27 to monitor the progress of the repatriation process [from June 18, 2015] of persons in irregular migration situation, not registered in the National Plan for the Regularization of Foreigners that ended Wednesday, June 17 at midnight.

The investigator Caribbean Chiara Liguori and the Caribbean activist for Amnesty International, Robin Guittard, will meet with local organizations and visit the families concerned by the arbitrary deprivation of nationality, which began with the publication of a statement criticized of the Dominican Constitutional Court in September 2013.
