The Prime Minister, Evans Paul left the country to head a governmental delegation in order to participate, initially, on 6 and 7 July 2015, at the Oslo Summit on Education for Development (Norway). The Summit of Heads of Government, Ministers, heads of international organizations and global defenders of the right to education from forty countries, proposes to relaunch international efforts likely to reach the new UN objectives for development.

The Prime Minister will use his stay in Oslo for talks with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Crown Prince of Norway, Haakon Magnus and the Norwegian Chancellor Børge Brende, with whom he will discuss among other things, issues related to education and energy.

The Prime Minister will also chair at the Summit, a workshop on the theme "Girls' education".
