According to Emmanuel Alexandre, the Departmental Delegate of Artibonite Saturday on Grande Saline road during a control operation, police discovered in a vehicle 4X4 without registration : Israeli UZI submachine gun, 1 handgun ammunition and tear gas grenades.

Police seized weapons and vehicle and arrested the two individuals who were in the vehicle.

Individuals have said that the seized vehicle, belonged to the former deputy Deshommes Wilbert Joseph, candidate of VERITE platform for the constituency of Grande Saline.
