The members of the specialized body of terrestrial border security (CESFRONT) have seized a shipment of 123 bags garlic from Haiti, who have been smuggled into the Dominican Republic by boat in the sea area of Montecristi.

During this operation, two men were arrested and identified by the authorities as Eladio Agustín Abreu and José Francisco Abreu, who was taken with the products of contraband at the headquarters of CESFRONT in Dajabón for legal suites. The Dominican authorities also seized the boat and engine, used by smugglers.
