A delegation led by Jacques Pierre Matilus the acting Responsible of the Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago, Dominican Republic and the Consul Mr. Delinx Pierre Louis, Responsible for Migrants section, recently visited the Penitentiary Centre of Rafey.

The delegation was received by Bernardo Henriquez, the Director of the institution and Juan Carlos Rodriguez, Responsible of the Legal Section. The purpose of the visit of the Consulate, was to make an inventory while inquiring about the situation of Haitian prisoners serving their sentences in prison. After exchanging on their legal status and their life in the institution, a hygiene kit was provided to each Haitian prisoner.
