iciHaiti - Economy : Inauguration of new building of the Customs of Malpasse

Tuesday, August 18, Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Ronald Décembre, the Secretary of State for Finance, Max Antoine, the Executive Secretary of the Technical Commission of Management and Border Development, in the presence among other of Victor H. St. Louis, Director of General Administration of Customs (AGD) and Frantz Multidor, the Director of the Customs of Malpasse have assisted to the inauguration ceremony of the new premises of the Customs office, of the Malpasse border post.
The construction of these buildings was funded by the Treasury to the tune of 30 million gourdes. "Through such initiatives, the current authorities undertake increasingly, to restore State authority," declared Wilson Laleau, who requested the cooperation of customs officers and the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and promised to do everything to negate smuggling, which thrives in this area.
