In 2008, to mark the 35th anniversary of Centre N A Rive,was launched the 1st edition of the Day of the Haitian book in Montreal. The objectives were to bring the Haitian writers with the public and publishers who publish them. Before the great success of this event, the event is repeated the 3rd week of August every year.

The Day of the Haitian book is a book fair which takes place during one day. The books exhibited to the general public are published by Haitian authors or relates to Haitian culture. If the event is held in one day, it require many preparations of the voluntary organizing committee and other volunteers.

The 8th day of the Haitian book will take place Saturday, August 22 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Centre N A Rive located at 6971, St-Denis Street, Montreal.
