Friday, Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, accompanied of Director General of the Ministry Jean Max Saint Albin proceeded to the closing of the summer camp organized from July 27 to August 28, 2015 at Dadadou Sports Centre.

About 300 young people from Delmas, participated in the camp, in which dozens of monitors mentored them for a month in sports and artistic activities. They had fun healthy by playing football, basketball, volley ball, tennis, handball, checkers, practicing athletics and learning macrame and floral art.

The Minister Albert visited the various workshops of sports and crafts to congratulate the instructors and inquire about the work done by young people during the last four weeks.

During a cultural ceremony marked by songs, dances and skits presented by youth, the Minister Albert invited the latter to train in order to become citizens able to take over and help develop the country. He was satisfied with the organization of this camp and used the occasion to announce the holding of an inter female school championship in the next academic year.

One hundred school kits were distributed to the participants to whom Minister Albert wished a good school year.
