Haiti - Economy : The prices increase will continue...

The National Coordination for Food Security (CNSA) announced in its newsletter that the continued increase in food prices in Haiti since June 2015, could continue until December 2015 and even beyond.
This increase could reach 10-20% for cereals and pulses on local markets compared to the month of June 2015.
Although import prices are relatively stable since last September, they could also experience an increase due to the depreciation of the gourde (more that 50 Gdes for 1 US dollar) and also because of the increase in grain prices on the world market.
