iciHaiti - Security : The Dominican army still deployed along the border

With the approach of presidential elections in Haiti, period of uncertainty and violence, Lieutenant General William Máximo Muñoz Delgado, Dominican Defense Minister said Friday that the border was now well protected and calm and that the armed forces were ready for any operations necessary to ensure the safety of Dominican territory.
He asked the Dominican population not to worry, that the border was protected as part of "Operation Shield" launched January 2, 2015 and still in force.
