iciHaiti - Social : Arrest and deportation of hundreds of undocumented Haitians

The past week, during several operations, hundreds of Haitians were arrested, mostly without valid documents, by members of CESFRONT (Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza) and the Immigration Directorate in different communities in the Northwest of the Dominican Republic
All Haitians without documents were taken to the headquarters of CESFRONT where their biometric data have been verified and recorded before being returned to Haiti by the border at Dajabón.
For those who had papers, they were taken for verification and authenticity of their documents, due to the increasing number of Haitians who used forged documents to try to enter legally in neighboring territory.
