iciHaiti - Music : The Ministry of Culture and ENARTS mourn Romel Joseph
The Ministry of Culture (MC) and the National School of Arts (ENARTS) learned with regret the sad news of the death of renowned Haitian violinist Romel Joseph, which occurred Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Port-au-Prince.

Throughout his life, Joseph worked as a teacher for the development of Haitian culture in several music institutions, including the Victorian's School of Music, the Holy Trinity School and ENARTS.

Our violinist was an artist whose works range has transcended borders. His ambitions had no limits. His sense of sharing and profound wisdom made him a man of great humility.

The departure of this virtuoso is a huge loss for the country in general and for the sector of classical music - among whom he enjoyed a rare appreciation - in particular.

At this moment of grief, the Ministry of Culture and ENARTS present their sympathies to the family of the late Romel Joseph, his friends, his colleagues, the community of Victorian's School of Music and the staff to the Holy Trinity school.
