iciHaiti - Justice : Thousands of complaints against judges, without being followed
In a letter addressed to Jules Cantave, President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) earlier this week, Atus Réginald, Coordinator of the International Action for Human Rights (AIDH) expressed his great concerns about the functioning of the Directorate of Judicial inspection of CSPJ.

"[...] According to information gathered by the AIDH, the Directorate of Judicial Inspection of CSPJ does not dispose of certain equipment necessary for its operation, including rolling stock. The inspection work is inconceivable without regular and mandatory travel. It is the same for aptops and means of communication that you are lacking.

In the meantime, thousands of complaints against judges in the 10 departments of the country are still waiting in the drawers and complainants are desperate [...]"

In light of this, AIDH proposes to CSPJ to use all remedies to address this problem and put an end to this situation "in order to ease the impatience of the complainants and finally reactivate the complaint files against corrupt judges."
