Thursday, Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, held at the Marriott a dinner in honor of Darline Jean Marie, gold medalist, world champion in kyokushin (karate full contact), in the Open category of the United World Karate 1st World Championship https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15519-haiti-sports-darline-jean-marie-gold-medalist-at-united-world-karate-1st-world-championship.html , of silver medalist, Israël Lherisson and of bronze medalist, Rolain Bontemps.

After having welcomed them at the Diplomatic lounge of the Toussaint Louverture Airport, the Minister Albert wanted, during the dinner, to value their talents and efforts in order to honor the country throughout the performance achieved during these competitions. Mr. Albert forwarded them again, the warm congratulations of the highest State authorities determined to continue to accompany the Haitian sports movement.

Several members of the Executive Committee of the Haitian Federation of Kyokyushin, of sensei (master) and some athletes also attended the dinner.
