Monday, Andrés Navarro, the Dominican foreign minister, said his country has great expectations with the results of the elections in Haiti "We hope that after Sunday's elections in Haiti, arise a strengthened government that will work safer at the issue of trade between the two nations."
Furthermore he stated that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met all Dominican traders at the border and this week we will do the same with Dominican entrepreneurs in order to release a proposal for the next meeting of ministers of the two countries," stating that "these upcoming meetings will determine the visit of President Danilo Medina in Haiti."
