iciHaiti - Politic : Launch of the Haiti Youth Parliament Contest
This Thursday at Le Plaza hotel, the Association of Volunteers for Democracy (AVD), in conjunction with the Haitian Parliament and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) will officially launch the competition for the Youth Parliament of Haiti. This meeting will be marked by speeches of Senator Riché Andrice, Jimmy Albert Minister and the President of the AVD, Carlin Michel and of Younh President of the Youth Government of Haiti, Amos Cincir.

The program of Youth Parliament of Haiti is open to young people under 25 years in the 119 electoral districts of 10 departments. The AVD is looking to recruit, through this national competition, 119 young Deputies, 30 Senators and 10 young-young-Parliamentary Journalists to participate in the simulation of the Fourth Legislature of the Youth Parliament of Haiti (PJH4) to be held from 23 to January 30, 2016.

Recall that the Youth Parliament of Haiti is a simulation of Parliament where young replicate the role of different members of the real Parliament in order to do some learning, to understand the parliamentary system, to appropriate the great challenges of the future; to give a real understanding of democracy and reflect on the major issues of concern to the Haitian youth.
