On Monday, the new Deputy of Petit-Goâve, Germain fils Alexandre (VERITE) gave a press conference to thank all supporters who gave him their vote "[...] The question that you have given me is yours. I will not shame you, I will defend you, I will only do what you dictated to me and indicated. I will work together with the population of Petit-Goâve so we can get what we need. Our arms are open to receive the other, whether they are my supporters or my opponents."

Reacting to the congratulations of his rival Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon (PHTK), Germain affirmed "We must unite and work together for peace stability, security and development of Petit-Goâve. We expect the cooperation of close of Thimoléon. For the city of Petit-Goâve, we are ready to sit down with anyone [...]"
