iciHaiti - Politic : Haiti elected member of the UNESCO Executive Board

Wednesday in Paris, took place the election of members of the Executive Board of UNESCO (where seat 59 member countries). The names of the new Member States elected for two years, were announced at the twelfth plenary meeting of the General Conference by Michael Worbs, the Chairman of the Nominating Committee.
Haiti was in competition following its candidacy filing, as recalled Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education during his speech at the UNESCO forum https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15719-haiti-politic-speech-of-minister-manigat-in-unesco.html
At the end of this vote, Haiti became a member of the UNESCO Executive Council with 150 votes in support out of 186 countries participating in the elections.
