Due to the socio-political climate that degrades a little more each day in Haiti since the beginning of elections and publication of preliminary results, many Haitian from the diaspora and foreign-based musical groups, are reluctant to return home for the holiday season, while the second round of the presidential election is scheduled in the heart of the holiday season, December 27...
Thus, the first consequences of the increasing protests and rising insecurity, the musical group "3 Gestes" which was to present Friday its first album, at Club Esquina Latina in Port-au-Prince, along with Djakout #1, has canceled the show. For the same reason the group Carimi gave up making the trip to Haiti to celebrate at the Marriott Hotel, its 14th birthday, on 17 November. Some Groups based in Haiti are considering, if the situation deteriorates further, to re schedule (for those who can), their shows abroad...
