iciHaiti - Social : Inauguration of the pilot phase of the project «Transport for All»
Monday, as part of the project "Transport for All" Gérald Oriol Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities in Haiti and Handicap International proceeded to the inauguration of 2 adapted bus and 2 bus stops (Delmas 32 and 33) for universal use, for the benefit of disabled people, what constitutes another step toward accessible transportation in Haiti.
This phase was carried out with the collaboration of the Municipality of Petion-ville, the Interministerial Committee for Territorial Planning (CIAT), the Haitian Federation of Associations and Institutions Disabilities (FHAIPH), the Association of Owners and Drivers of Haiti (APCH), the Ministry of Economy and Finance, of public transportation services Service Plus and Dignité, the Association of Disabled in Movement (ASHAMO), the Haitian Society for Aid to the Blind (AAHS), the Mayor of Delmas and Traffic Services of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). https://www.icihaiti.com/article-15529-icihaiti-social-amenagement-d-arrets-de-bus-pour-handicapes.html
